Did you know that you can consult your dark side to find out what you truly want?
Our dark sides are those times when we have irrational anger, jealousy, hate, fear, bad memory of an event and any emotion we regard as negative hold some our most important messages.
This dark side also holds our personal goal in life. Anytime this dark side appears we should embrace its message, analyze it and take action. It does hold an answer for us. When I was in high school the one thing that irritated me the most were teachers that I knew more than. I really felt as if I could teach a lot better than they could. To me they were just walking encyclopedias just pouting random knowledge. The definition of understanding & learning is to emotional information; to create a sense of certainty about the information. Just memorizing words and meaning isn’t learning, that’s just a great memory. Once something is emotionalized it can be adapted for use and improved for growth.
My dark side revealed my true purpose in life to me more than any kind of counseling, books or environment. My purpose is to grow and constantly chance and improve while giving out the message to other that they can take control of their lives too. I can do it through my words, my speech and my career as a Digital Designer. I am not your typical designer that just throws a webpage together and charge for it. I created a service where I can help my clients realize their goals.
I don’t regard my dark side as an actual side but just an emotional reaction of a violation of my inner core values. When this happens we have to figure out exactly what was violated. Sometimes we aren’t aware of all our values but our dark side is.
Try writing down 5 behaviors that you would consider as “dark side” it could be seeing someone getting a promotion you wanted or a friend always getting all the women/men. Write them down and beside each as why this bothers you and whatever answers you receive, write down how you plan on getting it.
This is a very useful exercise because it holds a lot of unanswered questions. Try it out at least just once and see what answers you come up with. |
